Corp.’s Rupert Murdoch willintroduce a tablet-computer news
publication at an event nextweek with Apple Inc.
Chief Executive Officer Steve Jobs,according to a person familiar with the plan.

News Corp.’s Chairman and CEO Murdoch will unveil TheDaily, a subscription
product for Apple’s iPad tablet, at anevent in San Francisco to be held as early as Jan. 19, said theperson,
who declined to be identified because the plans areprivate. A subscription will
cost $1 a week, two people familiarwith the matter said in November.
